Maritime Solution Owner (Engineering and Logistics)

Role Overview

A leading defence and security organisation is seeking a Maritime Solution Owner to lead the design and delivery of a major programme within the Engineering and Logistics domain for the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD). This is a strategic role focused on shaping and executing maritime solutions that meet complex operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve maritime user needs, requirements, and business processes in collaboration with MOD stakeholders.
  • Oversee planning and execution of maritime products and services to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Review and approve impact assessments and design baselines.
  • Present maritime solutions at Joint Solution Coherence Reviews.
  • Lead development of system verification and user validation strategies.
  • Act as a key decision-maker across the lifecycle of maritime engineering and logistics solutions.

Preferred Experience

  • Deep understanding of MOD maritime maintenance, equipment, and engineering processes.
  • Strong knowledge of MOD standards including DEFSTAN and JSP.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-class digital services for MOD logistics and engineering.
  • Experience with ERP and MRO systems as a product/service owner.
  • Skilled in integrating multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with consultancy approaches and delivery methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, DevOps).
