Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Postal Workers to join our team. You will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations.
Duties
- Deliver mail and packages to designated addresses in a timely manner.
- Sort and organise mail prior to delivery, ensuring accurate distribution.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any issues that may arise.
- Maintain records of deliveries and returns, reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of mail from vehicles, which may involve heavy lifting.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of mail.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a valid driving licence but not essential as currently this is a walking role.
- Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, as it aids in understanding logistics.
- Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the loading and unloading of mail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management skills are highly valued.
