Job Title: LGV Fitter

We’re working with one of the Southwest’s largest and most reputable generator hire specialists to recruit an experienced LGV Fitter to join their busy transport and engineering department in Bristol.

The Role:
As an LGV Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a varied fleet including LGVs, vans, Land Rovers, forklifts, trailers, and specialist equipment. You'll also be part of a call-out rota for vehicle breakdowns, with additional allowances provided.
Key Duties:
- Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, trailers, and mechanical handling equipment
- Schedule and record vehicle servicing in line with Operators Licence requirements
- Attend breakdowns and provide out-of-hours cover on a rota basis
- Source vehicle parts and manage costs effectively
- Transport and refuel generators and ancillary equipment as needed
- Assist with yard operations, including loading/unloading
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, in line with company health & safety and ISO 9001 procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential: HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Essential: Light & Heavy Vehicle Parts I & II City & Guilds (or equivalent)
- Essential: Proven experience as an LGV Fitter
- Essential: Digital Tachograph Holder
- Desirable: Driver’s CPC, ADR Licence, Forklift Licence
- Preferred: Lorry Loader Certification
