A well-established distributor of is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team. This company supplies a wide range of products to various industries. As a component Engineer you will be focused on managing product data, supporting technical queries, and maintaining accurate information within our MRP system.
Electronics Engineer responsibilities:
- Create and maintain part numbers and product files in the MRP system.
- Support Bill of Materials (BOM) setup and testing before handover to Production.
- Handle customer technical queries, especially for non-franchised components.
- Review customer drawings, identify suitable suppliers, and update MRP records.
- Keep product and supplier information up to date, including global distributors.
- Manage commodity codes and ensure accurate record keeping.
- Maintain a library of technical documentation, datasheets, and drawings.
- Support or lead product inspection activities when required.
- Ensure all technical data is properly logged and accessible to staff.
Skills & experience required:
- Strong understanding of electronic or electrical components.
- Confident using MRP/ERP or technical data systems.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Methodical, detail-focused, and proactive in keeping data accurate.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Good time management and ability to prioritise workload.
