A well-established distributor of is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their team. This company supplies a wide range of products to various industries. As a component Engineer you will be focused on managing product data, supporting technical queries, and maintaining accurate information within our MRP system.

Electronics Engineer responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain part numbers and product files in the MRP system.
  • Support Bill of Materials (BOM) setup and testing before handover to Production.
  • Handle customer technical queries, especially for non-franchised components.
  • Review customer drawings, identify suitable suppliers, and update MRP records.
  • Keep product and supplier information up to date, including global distributors.
  • Manage commodity codes and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain a library of technical documentation, datasheets, and drawings.
  • Support or lead product inspection activities when required.
  • Ensure all technical data is properly logged and accessible to staff.

Skills & experience required:

  • Strong understanding of electronic or electrical components.
  • Confident using MRP/ERP or technical data systems.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Methodical, detail-focused, and proactive in keeping data accurate.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workload.
