HGV Mechanic
Location: Exeter
Pay Rate: £52,000 - £70,000 pa
Hours: Monday to Friday, 0730am – 1730pm
gap personnel are working with a well-established and respected commercial vehicle maintenance provider, known for delivering expert services to the haulage and commercial sectors. Due to growth, they are looking for a dedicated HGV Mechanic to join the team on a permanent basis in Exeter.

Your Role Will Involve:
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Performing inspections, routine servicing, and MOT preparation
- Engine and gearbox overhauls as required
- Ensuring all compliance and service paperwork is completed accurately
- Contributing to a safe, efficient, and friendly workshop environment
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- Proven experience working with HGVs or in a commercial vehicle environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently on night shifts
- A positive, team-focused approach and pride in quality workmanship
- CAT C HGV Licence
- Own tools beneficial
