Our client are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join theirsuccessful and thriving local engineering business on a temp-to-perm basis. This role offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including CNC programming across a suite of machine centers such as Mazak and Index. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lean principles, continuous improvement values, and possess excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities as Manufacturing Engineer:
- Develop and implement CNC programs for various machine centres, with a focus on Mazak and Index.
- Utiliselean principles and continuous improvement values to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Effectively collaborate with multi-skilled team members to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintain a hands-on approach to CNC programming and machining processes.
- Liaise with other departments across the business to support manufacturing objectives.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, innovation, and problem-solving.
Qualifications as Manufacturing Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with a mechanical engineering bias is preferred.
- Proven experience in CNC programming and machining within a manufacturing and engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and deliver on deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
