The Role - Behaviour Mentor
We are seeking a committed Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEMH school in Orpington. The school caters to students aged 11–16 who present with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students who may display challenging behaviours, helping them to engage positively with their education and develop essential life skills.

You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. Your role will involve de-escalating incidents, building strong relationships with students, and providing consistent support throughout the school day.

This position is ideal for someone with prior experience working in SEMH or PRU settings, or with young people who have complex behavioural needs. A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach is essential.
