Behaviour Mentor

Are you passionate about making a real difference to young people's lives? Academics are seeking a committed and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Bromley, supporting secondary-aged students to re-engage with learning and achieve their potential.

About the role
In this role, you will:

  • Support students with SEMH needs in both academic lessons and intervention sessions

  • Build positive, trusting relationships to promote engagement and emotional regulation

  • Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans

  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies

  • Help create a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment

  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning, attendance and achievement

About you
We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEMH or additional needs

  • Is calm, patient, empathetic and able to de-escalate challenging situations

  • Has strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Can work as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people

Relevant qualifications (e.g., psychology, education, youth work) are desirable but not essential; strong experience and the right attitude are highly valued.
