A small, welcoming primary school in Croydon is seeking a confident and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with complex needs.

The Role
This is a full-time position supporting a young child with significant behavioural and learning needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support both in and out of the classroom. The role involves managing challenging behaviour, helping to de-escalate situations when necessary, and offering consistent emotional and academic support.

The ideal candidate
The school is looking for an individual who is confident, patient, and proactive — someone who can build trust and rapport with the child while maintaining clear boundaries and structure. Experience in a school or care setting is highly desirable, though the school is also open to applications from individuals with a genuine passion for working with children with special needs and a commitment to making a positive impact.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and gain valuable experience within a nurturing school environment.
