Are you a specialist SEND Teaching Assistant with experience supporting Autistic pupils? Are you looking for a new role? 

A vacancy has become available for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced additionally resourced provision within a primary school in Bromley.

The Role

In this role you will be working with a small class of pupils all of whom have autism and are working at a similar level. You will be working with various pupils on a 1 to 1 basis and providing all round care and learning support for the class. The school are ideally looking for SEND Teaching Assistants who has previous experience of working with children with Autism from previous roles and has a true passion for supporting children with SEND. You will be directed by the class teacher who is highly-experienced and you will be involved in supporting some children whilst they join in activities within the mainstream school and out of school activities and therapy sessions. 

You will have access to regular CPD courses with other staff and individually.

The school

This Additional Resource Provision is based within a mainstream primary school and offers a dynamic and specialised learning environment for primary aged children on the Autistic Spectrum. All pupils are taught from the EYFS and primary curriculum using a topic-based curriculum and a differentiated approach adapted to the needs of each individual child. The school has an inclusive approach and where suitable individual learners will access activities within the main school and to help promote independence and social skills.

The provision uses a collaborative approach between staff and parents to support pupils with a range of opportunities to get parents involved in learning events within the ARP.
