**Payments Architect** (Contract)

Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Bromley/Hybrid (3 days on site)

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day Rate is available for suitable candidates

Role Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team, providing strategic direction on technology solutions for Global Corporate Investment Banking and Global Transaction Services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technologist to shape the future of Payments, Accounting Services, Liquidity Management, Receivables, Trade Supply Chain Finance, and Commercial Card domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define an architectural vision and solution architecture that aligns with our business and enterprise strategies.
  • Describe solution intents, operating environments, and primary systems/subsystems with their interfaces, while defining non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Work closely with both business and technology teams to create effective architectural visions and solution intents.
  • Lead the rapid shaping of high-level architecture, ensuring it remains flexible, modular, and adaptable to emerging business requirements.
  • utilise best practises and templates to develop architectural designs.
  • Partner with Product Managers/Owners to prioritise technology-focused backlog items for the architecture runway.
  • Clarify architecture for development teams, providing solution options to overcome implementation challenges.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are met, including security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability.
  • Drive a shared service strategy and a performance culture.
  • Foster best practises for continuous improvement of our products, processes, and tools.

Skills & Experience:

  • A motivated self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent work experience.
  • You bring domain knowledge in Payments, Accounting Services, Liquidity Management, Receivables, Trade Supply Chain Finance, and Commercial Card domains (some or all preferred).
  • You have strong coordination skills with business partners and can lead and contribute to automation, causal analysis, and development of shared/common solutions.
  • Your communication skills are robust, allowing you to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Your analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and innovative mindset set you apart.
  • You can translate complex concepts into multiple architectural views tailored to various audiences.
  • You possess broad IT knowledge and experience, including Financial Software, Middleware, and Databases.
  • You can interpret business needs and apply innovative technology solutions effectively.
