Workshop Plant Fitter
£45,000 to £50,000
NEOS Engineering are working with a plant hire business who are looking for a Workshop Plant Fitter to join their team. This is a role where standards are high, the kit is modern, and attention to detail is everything.
You’ll be based in the workshop carrying out repairs, maintenance and diagnostics across a range of equipment, ensuring all machines are kept to the highest operational standard.
The Role
- Service, repair and maintain a mixed fleet of plant equipment.
- Strip engines and diagnose faults (rocker covers, engine internals, etc.).
- Repair and maintain compressors and trailers – these will be your most common jobs.
- Work across a varied fleet including:
- Excavators (1–20 tonne) – Kubota 1–8t / Volvo 14–20t
- Dumpers (1–9 tonne) – Thwaites & Wacker Neuson
- Bomag rollers & Ramex
- Doosan compressors with generators
- 1.5–3 tonne trailers
- Boss Cabin welfare units (7/12/15 person – hybrid solar)
- Manitou Telehandlers & JCB Telehandlers
- Bowsers
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background as a Plant Fitter / Workshop Fitter.
- Confident in engine strip-downs, compressors, trailers, and fault-finding.
- Someone with very high standards – the fleet needs to be reliable and ready to go.
- An engineer who can get it right first time.
The Package
- £45,000 – £50,000 salary
- 7am–5pm or 8am–6pm
- Full-time, permanent role
