Veritas Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bromley to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant for a February 2026 start.

This OFSTED-rated 'Good' school is known for its nurturing ethos and strong focus on pupils' academic achievement, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO, providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within the classroom.

This role is ideal for a patient, proactive, and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting children, including those with additional needs, within a supportive primary school environment.



The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will Have:

  • Proven experience supporting children in a primary school setting - essential

  • Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour

  • A calm, caring, and resilient approach when working with pupils with additional needs

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team



Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions

  • Supporting the class teacher with differentiated classroom activities

  • Promoting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Using creative and engaging strategies to support learning

  • Monitoring pupil progress and sharing feedback with the class teacher and SENCO

  • Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
