The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.
We are currently looking for Intervention Tutorswho have experience supporting children and young people who are currently working slightly below their age expected attainment levels. Some of these children and young people are disengaged learners, so require a tutor who is able to increase engagement and help the, achieve their predicted grades.
Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have QTS, a PGCE or equivalent.
Position Details:
- Position: Intervention Tutor
- Hours: up to 10 hours a week (after school)
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- QTS or equivalent
- Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
- UK classroom teaching experience
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
To be eligible for this role, the potential Intervention Tutor must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references.
