Haberdashers' Academies Trust South are seeking to appoint a new Chair of Governors for the Haberdashers' Knights Academy Local Governing Body. This is a voluntary role, with the Chair being responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the LGB in its role of reviewing the quality of provision in the school.
Haberdashers’ Knights Academy is a vibrant, diverse 11–18 school community with a relentless focus on high expectations and aspirations. We believe this role offers an opportunity to have a real impact on the lives of young people in Lewisham and Bromley.
We are seeking a candidate who has previous governor or Chair experience, preferably from within the education sector. It is our goal that the governance of our schools and the Trust is fully representative of the communities in which they serve and the wider society that we all live in. For that reason, we are particularly keen to encourage candidates from under-represented groups to apply for the role.
