Our client requires an experienced Management Accountant to cover maternity leave for a 6-month fixed term contract. Working in this industry leading import/ export distribution business, you will provide financial support to the business on a part time basis, with hybrid available.
The Role:
You will be working in a dynamic, open-plan office environment, supporting a variety of finance activities with a focus on precision and effective time management. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with proven management accounting experience who enjoys working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bank reconciliations
- Posting purchase invoices
- Managing prepaid purchases and currency payments
- Month-end ledger closures
- Accruals and prepayments journals
- Depreciation and asset management
- Month-end ad hoc journals and tasks
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Handling telephone and email queries
Key Skills
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Logical, common-sense approach to work
Work arrangements
- Flexible hybrid working (minimum 2 days in the office)
- Hours tailored based on experience
- Currently covered on a 30-hour per week schedule
