Teaching Assistant SEN – Home Tuition

Role Overview:

  • Location: Bromsgrove (in the student's home)
  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week
  • Pay: £18 per hour (contract)

You’ll be working closely alongside a qualified tutor to support a neurodivergent young person. The role is primarily based in the home, with:

  • 1 day a week at Forest School
  • 1 day a week at a local community group

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engagement, communication, and regulation using sensory and movement-based strategies
  • Build trust and encourage learner-led participation
  • Maintain a consistent, calm, and supportive presence

Essential Experience:

  • Supporting children with sensory processing needs, demand avoidance (PDA), and speech/language needs
  • Working in 1:1 or alternative education settings
  • Trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice
