Teaching Assistant SEN – Home Tuition
Role Overview:
- Location: Bromsgrove (in the student's home)
- Hours: 32.5 hours per week
- Pay: £18 per hour (contract)
You’ll be working closely alongside a qualified tutor to support a neurodivergent young person. The role is primarily based in the home, with:
- 1 day a week at Forest School
- 1 day a week at a local community group
Key Responsibilities:
- Support engagement, communication, and regulation using sensory and movement-based strategies
- Build trust and encourage learner-led participation
- Maintain a consistent, calm, and supportive presence
Essential Experience:
- Supporting children with sensory processing needs, demand avoidance (PDA), and speech/language needs
- Working in 1:1 or alternative education settings
- Trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice
