Job Overview
A busy and growing fabrication unit in Bromsgrove is looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator with strong pipe welding experience. The role involves working on a wide range of mild steel designs, with some stainless steel work. Ideal for a welder who takes pride in clean, high-quality finishes and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding and fabricating mild steel pipe (312 O/D, 610 mm wall thickness)
- Occasional stainless steel shell welding (816 O/D, 10s wall thickness)
- Interpreting and working from engineering drawings
- Producing neat, aesthetically pleasing welds suitable for painting
- Maintaining high safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Strong MIG and TIG pipe welding experience
- Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings
- High attention to detail and clean weld finishes
- Coded welding experience preferred (not essential)
- Safety-conscious and reliable team player
