Our client is a leading worldwide manufacturer with a rapidly growing customer base in the UK and North America. They are a dynamic team, passionate about driving the companies brand forward in line with their ambitious company goals. As they continue their rapid growth, they are expanding their finance team to ensure they scale effectively. This role is a key part of that evolution.

They are looking to hire an experienced and motivated Finance Officer to strengthen their finance operations and support the UK and US entities. This is a hands-on role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of core finance processes while also getting involved in improvement and integration projects. You’ll be based at their head office situated in beautiful surroundings. Due to very limited public transport to this location, your own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable – Invoicing, customer accounts, credit control, payment chasing (UK & USA)
  • Accounts Payable – Reconciliations, aged creditors analysis & provide support to existing team with processing
  • Bank Reconciliations – provide support to existing team
  • VAT Returns – Assist in the preparation and submission of UK VAT returns
  • Intercompany – Support intercompany postings and reconciliations across entities
  • Month-End Support – Assist with production of monthly management accounts
  • Process Improvement – Help streamline finance systems and reporting as the business grows
  • Other Ad Hoc Duties – Support team as business demands require

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance role
  • Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivots, reconciliations)
  • Organised, self-sufficient, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Strong ownership and follow-through to meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Able to assess risk when setting credit limits or chasing debt

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365. advantageous but not essential 
  • Exposure to multi-entity or international finance operations
  • AAT Qualification – Or working towards (Qualifications are not essential, but previous experience in a similar role is)
