In this role, you will be responsible for the engineering team and their capabilities - this includes implementation and development of best practices. You will also be responsible for the approval of engineering deliverable as well as technical guidance for other engineers. You will also work closely with the Operations Director to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.

The ideal Chief Engineer will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree - ideally from a safety-critical industry. You will also possess technical knowledge as well as previous experience in an engineering lead/management role. You will also hold SC clearance/be able to obtain it.

The role:

  • Lead the Engineering team
  • Approval of Engineering deliverables as well as Technical Guidance
  • Working closely with the Operations Director

The person:

  • Holds a Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Technical knowledge
  • Previous experience in a lead/management role
  • Already holding/able to obtain SC clearance
