As the mechanical Designer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

You will be involved in:

  • Develop and analyse robotic concept solutions
  • Perform complex simulations on loads, stress, fatigue, and manufacturability
  • Perform GD&T analysis to design, build, and test prototypes
  • Design mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic 2D and 3D models
  • Generating manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and other documentation
  • Develop tests, perform failure analysis, and solution validation for product development
  • Contribute to the functional analysis and the collaborative definition of the requirement specification
  • Design systems under safety and quality standards
  • Validate and ensure the advanced maintenance of the deployed systems

Your skillset may include:

  • MSc/PhD in Controls, Mechatronics, Robotics, or other algorithmic-centric discipline or equivalent hands-on Mechanical Engineer, Application Engineer, or Robotics Engineer experience
  • Hands-on experience in robotics / actuated systems control
  • Solid knowledge in Dynamics and Kinematics
  • Demonstrated influence in selection of sensors and actuators
  • Successful experience of integration of an industrial robotic solution used in production
  • Familiar with robot simulation software (e.g. KUKA.Sim, RoboGuide, Visual Components, DELMIA, RoboStudio, Matlab/Simulink, RoboDK)
  • High level of proficiency in CAD software, such as CATIA or 3DX
