Job Title: Design Authoriser


Location: Primarily Broughton (Filton possible); hybrid working (minimum 60% onsite)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, over 4.5 days

Contract: 12 months (Inside IR35)

Pay Rate: up to 52 per hour (Via an Umbrella Company)

Overview:
This role sits within a fast-paced engineering team supporting wing component delivery. The team provides technical solutions to support manufacturing, improve production efficiency, and ensure product integrity. The Design Authoriser will lead design investigations, approve modifications, and ensure compliance with airworthiness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and authorise design solutions, including structural and systems modifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the engineering team.
  • Ensure integration of design solutions across functions and projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes and team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support certification and configuration management.

Requirements:

  • Recognised design signatory (Design Approval/Authorisation).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience in managing complex technical issues and delivering to time, cost, and quality.
