Production Activity Controller
Location: Broughton, Chester (Onsite)
Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)
Pay: 23.00 per hour PAYE / 30.05 per hour Umbrella (depending on experience)
IR35: Inside
Security: BPSS+ Clearance required (arranged by Airbus Security)
About the Role
Are you a proactive organiser with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Join our Planning and Logistics team as a Production Activity Controller and play a key role in ensuring seamless production at one of the UK's leading aerospace sites.
You'll be at the heart of our daily operations, working closely with colleagues across Operations and Supply Chain to deliver products to the shopfloor efficiently and on time. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, develop your skills, and grow your career with Guidant Global.
What You'll Be Doing
- Launching and managing daily production scheduling routines
- Attending daily production monitoring meetings and reporting on progress
- Tracking parts availability and supporting the team to adjust priorities as needed
- Managing work orders and coordinating the flow of components, including resolving missing parts and logistics issues
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure outstanding work and logistics flows are managed effectively
- Supporting the supply of Wing Loose Items to all Final Assembly Lines
- Taking ownership of internal and external transfers of responsibility for work orders
What We're Looking For
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, or a similar environment (industry background is flexible)
- A self-starter who is motivated, organised, and able to hit the ground running
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Customer and results-oriented, with a logical approach to problem-solving
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, supporting colleagues when needed
- Calm under pressure and able to meet agreed deadlines
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong personal brand
