On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Services Contract Manager on an initial 12-month contract. Based within the Industrial Maintenance organisation at the Broughton Plant, you will oversee service delivery across a range of assets including CNC machinery, production equipment, paint and chemical processing facilities. Working with both internal teams and external contractors, you will report to the Commercial Manager and ensure service levels, cost efficiency and performance standards are achieved.

Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday - Friday 35 hours per week, 12 months
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer requirements and ensure that the commercial arrangements accommodate them. Develop & deploy effective KPIs and governance to protect customer requirements.
  • Be aware of all commercial constraints and support any budgeting and cost reporting processes that are established
  • Implement and manage scorecards and performance measurements, delivering continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People
  • Conduct 'Deep Dives' where performance gaps, or potential performance gaps, exist and implement changes and controls to remedy any defect and prevent recurrence
  • Conduct formal performance reviews against the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and apply any penalties or rewards that are due according to KPI models and contract conditions
  • Ensure that service provider(s) costs remain below budget. Track cost performance, commit on Year to End cost forecast each month and anticipate any risks and opportunities
  • Maintain a good working relationship with Procurement and ensure that all procurement processes are adhered to
  • Support strategic procurement reviews (i.e. Quarterly Contract Reviews, Annual Contract Reviews, etc.)
  • Provide key data and participate in procurement processes such as Request for Information, Call for Tender, Tender Evaluation and Service Provider Selection and Negotiation
  • With support of the Commercial Manager, ensure all contractual matters are dealt with promptly and in a joined-up manner with Procurement and Legal


Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in contract management, service provider governance, or commercial control, ideally within industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or asset management environments.
  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) legislation relevant to industrial operations and contractor oversight.
  • Experience working with KPIs, performance scorecards, and supplier performance frameworks.
  • Background in working with procurement functions, including tender evaluation, service provider negotiation, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Financial awareness with ability to track budgets, validate invoices, and produce cost forecasts and risk assessments.
  • Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • High level of attention to detail, especially in commercial documentation and reporting.
  • Proactive, assertive and resilient - able to challenge underperformance and drive corrective action.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Finance and Safety.
