Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Cooking:

Prepare fresh ingredients, cook dishes to order, and ensure food is presented to the required standards.

Maintaining Quality and Hygiene:

Adhere to food safety regulations, monitor portion control, and manage waste to maintain high standards. Fill in daily delivery record sheets and temperature monitor sheets.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff, communicating effectively with kitchen staff and departments to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of dishes.

Menu Development:

Contribute to the creation of new dishes and menus, working with senior chefs.

Inventory Management:

Assist with monitoring inventory and ensuring adequate stock levels. Assist with monthly stock take.

Skills and Qualifications:

Culinary Expertise:

Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.

Leadership and Communication:

Ability to supervise and motivate a team, as well as communicate effectively with colleagues.

Time Management:

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Food Safety Knowledge:

Understanding and adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.

Experience:

Several years of experience in a professional kitchen essential.

Must have own transport.
