This new positionis afull time / permanent role.

The role

This is a varied and challenging role for asemi-skilled labourerassistingtradesmen/other operatives to complete a variety of steelwork and metalwork projects, both in the workshop and onsite.

Role Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing material for fabricating in the workshop environment.

• Undertaking MIG welding of 6mm fillet welds (in house training and testing will be given for this)

• Punching and drilling materials as required both on site and in the workshop.

• Keep fabrication records on drawings in line with factory production control procedures.

• Driving company vehicles and delivering materials and plant as required.

• Operating machinery and plant, including hand tools, power tools and forklift (training provided).

Role Requirements

• Be able to follow concise written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Adhere to company safe working practices at all times / be Health and Safety aware and work to the highest quality standards.

• Be self-motivated with excellent time keeping and attendance record.

• Have a good work ethic, good attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

• Have previously worked in a fabrication workshop or site environment.

• Flexibility / willingness to work in variety of weather conditions, all year round.

• CSCS operatives card, any MWEP or PASMA qualifications or any forklift & lifting equipment qualifications would be advantageous.
