Monday to Friday 3 Shift system- earlies, days or afternoons (NO NIGHTS)

3 weekends in 8 required to work.

My client, who I am working with on an exclusive basis, a well thought of and local manufacturer of food products, is searching for 1 multi skilled maintenance engineer to join their team, they have continued to progress and are now a small to medium sized manufacturer.

It is a desirable manufacturing facility and not one that is openly known about on the job seekers market.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate multi-skilled maintenance engineering experience, ideally electrically qualified, with mechanical skills though we would consider mechanically qualified, with electrical skills. The successful candidate will have had previous experience working in the food or similar industry, any high volume or fast paced manufacturing environment to be considered. It is essential that you have worked as part of a frontline engineering team, reacting to breakdowns on production or process equipment.

Working as part of the maintenance engineering team, your objective will be to ensure the efficient running of all production machinery, in turn, meaning the production output targets are met. You will do this by completing reactive maintenance duties (responding to breakdowns, fault finding and repairing), planned maintenance activities (servicing, daily checks), completing project work (installations, upgrades, modifications and more) and delivering all duties in a safe and healthy manner.

The person:

Multi skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias (beneficial)

Previous experience working in a food or FMCG manufacturing facility

Confident fault finding and repairing on a diverse range of systems

A relevant mechanical or electrical qualification
