Technical Support Specialist - SC Cleared - Blandford (Hybrid) - 500 - 550 a day
Location: Hybrid (Remote with regular site attendance at MOD Blandforad)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Day Rate: 500 - 550 per day (dependant on experience)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance is mandatory for this role.
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Technical Support Specialist to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting a critical in-service capability for a key UK Defence client.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and evolution of the project's technical baseline, working closely with an established Design Assurance and Security function.
This position involves managing technical design information, supporting design assurance processes, and ensuring project documentation is current and accurate.
Key responsibilities and activities:
- Technical input into the service design as a result of continual service improvement which affects the baseline.
- Assist in updating the asset and export control registers
- Technical assurance of the impact assessment of changes to the technical infrastructure resulting through externally driven change or as a result of obsolescence planning which affects the baseline.
- Technical assurance of the impact assessment of changes to the technical infrastructure resulting through externally driven change or as a result of obsolescence planning which affects the baseline.
- Technical assurance of the impact assessment of the introduction of externally driven changes which change the baseline.
Desirable skills and competencies:
- Good level of written and verbal communication skills
- Network and Application Engineering principles
- Knowledge of MOD Approvals process
- Knowledge of how MOD operates
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Attention to detail
