Smart Teachers are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Music Teacher for a full-time ongoing supply position at a well-regarded secondary school in the borough of Redbridge. The role is to start in May 2025  and is expected to continue through the summer term, with the possibility of extension.

The Role:

  • Full-time teaching role delivering Music across KS3 only 

  • Planning and marking required; PPA time provided

  • Supportive and creative department with excellent resources

  • Opportunities to contribute to extra-curricular music activities including ensembles and performances

The School: 

  • Oversubscribed, high-achieving mixed 11–18 school with a strong reputation in the local community

  • Outstanding facilities including a dedicated music suite and performance space

Requirements: 

  • Qualified Music Teacher (QTS or equivalent)

  • Confident delivering Music to KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience desirable but not essential

  • Strong classroom management and a positive, engaging teaching style

  • Passionate about fostering creativity and musical appreciation in young people

  • Able to quickly integrate into a dynamic and supportive team environment
