Are you an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?

GSL Education are proud to partner with a fantastic school in Buckhurst Hill, seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one and small group support in a specialist provision class. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have a range of SEN and behavioural needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of SEN needs.
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to help students thrive.
  • Work alongside teachers and SEN specialists to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster independence and confidence in students, supporting their academic and social development.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Previous experience in SEN or behavioural support.
  • Ability to provide high-level 1:1 support for students with diverse needs.
  • A resilient, proactive, and patient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on children’s educational journeys.
  • A current CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained) and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
