Role Overview:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective SEN policies and strategies.

  • Provide professional guidance to teaching and support staff regarding SEN teaching strategies.

  • Coordinate the creation and review of individual support plans and EHCPs.

  • Liaise with parents, external professionals, and local authorities to secure optimal provision.

  • Track student progress and ensure necessary adjustments to teaching and curriculum delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to undertake it).

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with experience in SEN provision.

  • Knowledge of current SEND frameworks, including the Code of Practice and EHCP processes.

  • Ability to foster positive relationships with staff, students, and families.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
