We have a full-time permanent opportunity available within our Colors department at Tata Steel. This role is ideal for someone with in-depth electrical engineering knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving high voltage infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inspection, maintenance, and upgrade of high voltage electrical systems across the site.

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies.

  • Provide technical support for capital projects involving HV systems.

  • Lead and coordinate planned maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults quickly and effectively.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors.

  • Drive improvements to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience working with high voltage infrastructure in a heavy industrial environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical maintenance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable requirements:

  • Driving licence and access to a car.

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies or lean principles.
