Quality Engineer - Electronics Manufacturing

Location: Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, Wales

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer based in Powys, Wales to join a well-established UK-based manufacturer and distributor of high-reliability electronic components. This is a hands-on role, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained across production, supply chain, and customer delivery.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in a certified quality environment, who is confident working across departments and with suppliers to uphold ISO and customer-specific requirements.

Main Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer based in Powys, Wales:

  • Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9120 certification requirements and procedures
  • Support and carry out customer and supplier audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods
  • Investigate and report non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain and update quality-related documentation and records
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure components and processes meet specifications
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Ensure compliance with CECC/BS, ISO, and customer requirements

Requirements of the Quality Engineer based in Powys, Wales:

  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or engineering role within electronics, manufacturing, or another regulated industry
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9120, or equivalent quality management systems
  • Skilled in the use of inspection tools and quality documentation processes
