The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be partnering with a growing financial services firm based in Burford. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to step into an office-based administrative role, and could be well suited to people with a background in hospitality or retail who are keen to gain office experience and move away from evening and weekend working.

You’ll be joining a friendly and dynamic team, working closely with the Senior Administrator to support day-to-day office operations. While this is a fast-paced environment, full training will be provided. What’s most important is your positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well under pressure.

You’ll need to be confident communicating over the phone and via email, as the role involves regular interaction with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming phone calls and directing them to the relevant team members
  • Monitoring shared admin inboxes and responding to queries and referrals
  • Assisting with diary management tasks, such as chasing documents and updating records
  • Processing new and renewed policies accurately and efficiently

Skills & Attributes:

  • Previous administrative experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ideally educated to A-Level or equivalent
