The Burford Recruitment Company is delighted to be supporting a private household in their search for an experienced and professional Live-In Housekeeper/ Cook.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who takes pride in high standards of housekeeping, enjoys cooking, and appreciates the variety that comes with supporting a well-run home.
Key Responsibilities:- General housekeeping and daily cleaning duties
- Cooking for the family and guests, must be confident preparing meals for groups of up to 12-15 people
- Meal planning, grocery shopping and kitchen organisation
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate and high-value garments
- Wardrobe management, including couture clothing
- House sitting when the family are away
- Packing and unpacking assistance for family travel
- Liaising with maintenance companies
- Care and cleaning of antiques, silver, and fine furnishings
- Flower arranging and needlework, desirable but not essential
- Pet care, the family have dogs and cats
- 5 years’ experience as a private Housekeeper/ Cook
- Must be a car driver with own vehicle
- Highly organised, discreet and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- Confident working independently and taking initiative
