Forklift Driver

Up to £26,000 p/a, Pease Pottage, Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm, Permanent, 28 days annual leave inc bank holidays.

The RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics operation based in Pease Pottage. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of stock within a high-density warehouse environment. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the wider warehouse team to meet daily operational targets.

  • Operate AisleMaster forklifts within narrow aisles and high racking systems
  • Load and unload goods from vehicles and storage areas
  • Accurately relocate and stack products as per inventory guidelines
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report faults
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols and warehouse procedures
  • Support inventory checks and stock rotation
  • Use handheld scanners and warehouse systems
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to achieve targets
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

RequirementsA valid, in-date pivot, bendi or flexi Forklift Licence is essential to operate an Aisle Master forklift -please note, in-house licences cannot be accepted. Extensive experience in fast-paced warehouse or logistics settings is highly desirable, and prior exposure to 3PL environments would be beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate strong spatial awareness, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

This role could suit someone who has worked as a Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver, or Logistics Operative.
