Sonic Summary

The position is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office each week, with occasional support for odd hours or weekends once a month, for which time off will be provided.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience in at least one backend type-safe programming language, preferably Java, along with familiarity in backend microservice architecture and communication methods such as REST and messaging services like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline is required, along with professional software development experience.
The role demands a solid understanding of test-driven development and knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as familiarity with tools like Jenkins and JIRA.
The salary for this position is competitive, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in software development is expected.

Mode-Hybrid 3 days from office is mandatory in a week

There would be support for odd hours/weekend for a week once in a month rota. They will be given time in lieu of the working off hours.

Demonstrable experience in at least one backend type safe programming language Java Preferred but other experience can be considered
Comfortableexperienced with backend microservice architecture and communication specifically REST and asynchronous messaging services eg Kafka RabbitMQ etc
Comfortableexperience within a Scrum framework working with as part of a team to deliver business functions and customer journeys that are tested and automated throughout the CICD pipeline to production Desired
Bachelors degree in computer science computer engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience
Experience in professional software development
Solid understanding of testdriven development including unit component functional system integration and regression tests
Knowledge of software engineering methodology Agile incl Scrum Kanban SAFe TestDriven Development TDD Behavior Driven Development BDD and Waterfall
Knowledge of any or all of the following technologies is desired Kafka Postgres Java Git Spring Docker GraphQL

Experienced in continuous integration CI continuous deployment CD and continuous testing CT including tools such as Jenkins Rally andor JIRA and version control such as GIT or SVN
