JOB ROLE: Material Configuration Specialist - Immediate Start

HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Hybrid

SALARY: 39k hourly equivalent

DURATION: 6 months initially

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Material Configuration Specialist to join our clients team. This role is responsible for reviewing, configuring, and maintaining new material requests across all Company Solutions sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in aerospace materials and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure material configurations align with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to implement new material requests in accordance with industry, customer, and company standards.
  • Maintain and manage technical documentation repositories to support configuration control.
  • Apply FAA restrictions and OEM/customer requirements to material profiles.
  • Audit and update system data to ensure accuracy and compliance across material records.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience (6-8 years preferred), or a combination of education and practical experience.
  • Strong ability to interpret material drawings and catalogues across various design holders.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of aerospace hardware standards and specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading or supporting lean/process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) and analytical problem-solving.
  • Highly detail-oriented and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
