Our client is seeking a dedicated Nurse Educator to join their mission in delivering exceptional training and support in diabetes management through Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems.

Mission Statement:
As a Nurse Educator, you will be instrumental in equipping healthcare professionals and patients with the knowledge and skills they need for effective diabetes management. Your expertise will help ensure that every patient feels confident and empowered in their care journey!

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Education:

  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based training to healthcare professionals and patients, both individually and in groups.
  • Adapt your training style to meet the needs of diverse audiences, ensuring knowledge retention and practical application.
  • utilise digital tools for virtual education to reach learners wherever they are!

Patient Support & Empowerment:

  • Provide hands-on training for patients and caregivers on the use of CGM systems, enabling effective diabetes management.
  • Offer tailored support to patients starting on this new technology, fostering confidence in self-care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve patient adherence and outcomes through structured educational programmes.

Clinical Expertise & Support:

  • Serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to both healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Ensure that every interaction enhances patient confidence and improves diabetes management outcomes.

Customer Relationship & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including nurses, GPs, and endocrinologists.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that customer and patient needs are met through high-quality education and support.

Operational Effectiveness & CRM Management:

  • Maintain accurate training records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and provide feedback to enhance processes.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and gather insights for continuous improvement.

Person Specification:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Current or previously Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Preferred: Previous experience as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN) or equivalent.
  • Experience in training delivery for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Strong understanding of diabetes management, including medication and lifestyle interventions.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong empathy and a patient-centred approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organisational abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident in using technology and digital training platforms.

Additional Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK, including potential overnight stays.
  • Flexibility for out-of-hours support when necessary.
