The Lancashire Teaching Agency (LTA) are seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our team in the Ribble Valley area.

There is a position for a mixed Y1/Y2 class at a “Good” Primary School in the Ribble Valley. This role is a full-time position covering 5 days per week. The role is a temporary position covering a maternity, starting after September 2025. The school are wanting an Early Career Teacher for this position.

Qualified Teacher Status and previous experience/strong knowledge of teaching Year 1 and Year 2 is essential for this position.

Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:

•Preparing, planning, and delivering high standards of lessons to ensure the continuous development of our pupils•Mark and monitor classwork, alongside setting targets for future progress•Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers•Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils•Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school’s practice•Excellent behaviour management skills
