Nursery Practitioner - Full-Time & Part Time (Term Time Only)

Location: Maintained Nursery School, Burnley
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday and 8:30am- 12:30pm monday to friday
Contract: Term Time Only
Start Date: December 2025 (flexible for the right candidate)

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Early Years professional looking to make a real difference in children's lives? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming, well-established maintained nursery school in Nelson, seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team.



About the Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you'll play a key role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 2-4 years, helping to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. You'll work alongside a committed and experienced team who value collaboration, creativity, and child-led learning.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities

  • Foster a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe and confident

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals

  • Observe and assess children's progress, contributing to their learning journeys

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and safeguarding



What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)

  • A genuine passion for early years education and development

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (desirable but not essential)
