We are currently working with a reputable and highly stable growing manufacturing organisation as they look to recruit a Credit Manager (Standalone) to join their ever-growing finance function.

With operations spanning across the UK and internationally, the business is committed to continuous improvement and excellence in all areas of its operations. You'll be joining a forward-thinking finance team that plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's international success.

Your new role

As the Standalone Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function across the group. Your role will involve assessing credit risk for new and existing customers, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring timely collection of payments.

You will also oversee the administration of the company's credit insurance policy, negotiate with underwriters and credit information providers, and ensure compliance with the company's credit policy and conditions of sale. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach to resolving invoice queries and disputes, often in collaboration with the sales team.

You will also be involved in compiling reports, managing online payments, and occasionally handling documentation under letters of credit.

With various teams within the group, you will provide mentoring when needed.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should have significant experience in credit control (Senior level) and its related functions, ideally with exposure to international transactions and multi-currency environments. A CICM qualification or working towards one is desirable but not essential.

You will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong Excel and systems knowledge, and the ability to work methodically under pressure.

A can-do attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service are essential. You should also be confident working independently and collaboratively within a team.
