Manufacturing Engineers – Composites & Assembly Teams
Location: Burnley

Morson is currently recruiting experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join our Aerospace Component Manufacturing client in their Composites and Assembly teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing processes on cutting-edge aerospace projects.

Key Responsibilities (Composites & Assembly Teams):

  • Define and design complex manufacturing processes (composite or assembly), ensuring alignment with product design and performance standards

  • Create and validate standard operating procedures, work instruction sheets, quality control points, and inspection methods

  • Develop effective tooling, equipment, and plant strategies

  • Generate routes, bills of materials, layouts, tooling requests, and engineering documentation

  • Lead and coordinate industrial product validation activities

  • Identify and reduce risk using structured tools such as PFMEA

Candidate Profile:

Composites Team:

  • Strong background in composite manufacturing processes, ideally in aerospace

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, manufacturing, or materials), HND, or equivalent experience

  • Competent with CATIA v5 for 3D component modelling

Assembly Team:

  • Experience with complex mechanical assembly processes, preferably in aerospace

  • Engineering degree (mechanical, manufacturing, or materials), HND, or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency with CATIA v5 for 3D assembly design
