Whether you've recently completed a qualification in education or have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Tradewind Recruitment is working with a mainstream secondary school in Burnley to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant.

About the Role - Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Burnley, Lancashire

In this role, you will provide vital support to students with diverse learning needs across the school. The school values building strong relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure each child reaches their potential. You will play a key role in helping students with their academic development and supporting them with any specific learning requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support students in mainstream classes to ensure they reach their full potential.

• Assist with the delivery of lesson content and provide one-on-one or small group support.

• Help manage classroom behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.

• Adapt teaching resources and approaches to meet the specific needs of individual students.

• Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for students.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds relevant qualifications or has experience as a TA/LSA in a secondary school (SEN experience is a plus).

• A strong ability to adapt to each child's unique learning needs.

• Available to work Monday to Friday.

• Excellent communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude.

• A commitment to supporting students' learning and development.
