Our client is a leader in their field and due to continued growth are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Deputy Manager for their Nursery to assist in the overseeing of daily operations.The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.
  • Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff in delivering high-quality early years education.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development across all areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and nursery activities.
  • Assist with the training and professional development of nursery staff.

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant qualification in early years education or child development (e.g., Level 3 or above).
  • At least 3 years experience within an early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with staff & parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
  • First Aid qualification is an advantage but not essential.
