Quantity Surveyor/Estimator | Ingleton | Full Time | £40,000 - £50,000 Per Annum depending on experience

They are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to manage cost estimations and workflow across M&E and renewables projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project costings, a solid background in M&E services, and an in-depth understanding of renewable systems. This role is crucial for estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring efficiency across a diverse project portfolio.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within M&E or renewable energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, including heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage.
- Proficiency with cost estimation and project management
- Membership with RICS, CIOB, or a similar professional body is desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and government policies is desirable.
What will your role look like?
- Conduct detailed cost estimation and budgeting for M&E and renewable energy projects, including heat pumps, solar, and energy storage systems.
- Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for new projects and contribute to the bidding process.
- Assess and analyse project specifications, designs, and drawings to create accurate cost forecasts.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers to gather project data, understand project requirements, and ensure accuracy
- Manage project financials from inception to completion, including cost tracking, budget adjustments and final invoicing details
- Perform risk assessments and identify opportunities for cost savings across projects
- Support contract administration, reviewing and evaluating contractual terms for project compliance and risk mitigation.
