Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and schematics for various projects. This role requires proficiency in industry-standard software and a strong understanding of electrical principles. The Electrical Designer will collaborate with engineers and other design professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept to completion.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics using software tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, and NavisWorks.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and specifications.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for all electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Utilise Sketchup and Civil 3D for visualisation and modelling of electrical layouts.
- Troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions in a timely manner.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer or in a similar role within the engineering or construction industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, MicroStation, Sketchup, NavisWorks, and Civil 3D is essential.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A relevant degree or certification in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
