Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of an engineering business based in Swadlincote, Burton-on-Trent on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance and managing a small team, you will be responsible for all management reporting for 2 divisions, business partnering with operating stakeholders, project accounting and cashflow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost and revenue reporting
  • Business partnering with project managers regarding budgets and spend
  • Manage month-end processes, including adjustments and reconciliations
  • Drive working capital and cash flow improvements through robust billing processes
  • Lead a small finance team
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis to support margin growth and operational efficiency
  • Oversee overhead reporting, cash forecasts, and strategic financial planning
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to inform business decisions and promote best practices.

The ideal candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with previous experience within a Projects based Engineering, Construction or facilities industry ideally with group reporting experience. You must possess excellent Excel skills and systems understanding with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
