Job Title: General Labourer With FLT licence
Location: Barton Under Needwood
Duration: min 3 months
Hours: Mon - Thurs 7am to 4pm and Fri 7am to 1pm


We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer on a contract basis, at Barton Under Needwood

The main duties are ensuring materials are supplied where and when they are needed, responsible for keeping workstations fully stocked with materials, ultimately contributing to overall higher productivity of other workers.

Must have Fork Lift Truck Licence and own transport due to location

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Support the production activities to achieve planned output through Quality, Cost and Delivery timescales and targets
- Identify areas for improvements within the organisation to improve business performance, reduce Life Cycle Costs and improve reliability through Engineering
- Work with the Business Improvement groups to identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide KPIs as requested, gather data and systematically resolve issues relating to performance of the stations.
- Interrogate systems to identify trends in reporting / fault occurrences and run reports
- Be self-assured and confident, professional in appearance
- Carry out objectives as set.
- Transfer materials, parts and assemblies from a stores or staging location to production.
- Prepare materials for proper use.
- Use enterprise resource planning - ERP system.
- Employ continuous improvement methods to decrease errors and defects.
- Replenish materials and tools as needed and if found defective.
- Manage Kanban's.
- Be continuously on the move, keeping materials supplies at safety stock levels and move materials from one place to another and between workstations

Background & Experience:
* Minimum 1-year experience in relevant rail, automotive or engineering industry.
* Be practical mechanically oriented
* Possess good problem-solving skills
