Job Description:

HRBP - 12 month FTC

£50-55,000

The HRBP drives people strategy for a given business area, alongside expert teams of specialists and operational support teams, leading to measurable commercial impact and strong alignment to the business’s strategic goals. HRBPs are tasked with the delivery of a value-add service that influences key stakeholders in order to support them in the achievement of people outcomes, with specific focus on performance, engagement, retention, talent management, change and people risks.

Key Deliverables

  • Partner with business leaders to advise on people strategy and facilitate the delivery of People Plans, ensuring these are appropriately prioritised, align to the overarching business strategy and address future workforce needs.
  • Horizon scan and use evidence and data insight (both internally and externally) to identify business risks and opportunities and develop appropriate plans to take action.
  • Be responsible for project and / or programme leadership of key people initiatives within business areas or the wider HR team.
  • Ensure core people management practices are implemented and maintained across all business areas e.g. absence and performance management, to ensure operational excellence.
  • Work with key stakeholders to discuss people challenges, utilising own people expertise and leveraging specialist teams across the HR function to develop innovative and impactful solutions.
  • Act as the conduit between business leaders and specialist teams to ensure effective information sharing, communication and linkage.
  • Advocate for the HR function, marketing value-add services and people solutions available to stakeholders and the wider workforce.
  • Provide guidance on complex people matters such as TUPE, restructures and succession planning.
  • Manage cost base and headcount within business areas in accordance with key OD and requisition processes and seek opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Coach, challenge and provide feedback to key stakeholders to support them in developing a people first mindset and to encourage the adoption of behaviours in line with organisational values.
  • Regular attendance and contribution in senior leadership meetings.
  • Carry out CPD to continually improve performance and develop expertise to offer a better value service.
  • Bring key issues to HR SLT for review, triage and assigning of ownership.
  • Act as a Role Model and Senior point of contact within the HR team.
